With a combination of off-piste skiing, off-piste safety and techniques along with adventure with a group of like minded women lead by the UK’s top female ski instructors, you are sure to come away a better skier, meet some amazing women and have some wonderful memories to keep forever.
Val d’Isère is a beautiful mountain village in the Epace Killy ski area which boasts 300 km of skiing pistes, but it is Val d’Isère’s incredible off-piste we will be laying our tracks on. People come from all over the world to ski off-piste in Val d’Isère, where there is an incredible amount and variety of terrain that suits everyone from the first adventures in the powder to extremely challenging couloirs and everything in between.
Amanda Pirie is qualified to the highest ski instructing level and has many years of experience teaching on and off-piste skiing. Amanda grew up in Scotland a a ski racer, winning national titles and representing her country on an international stage, so their skiing level is not bad! Amanda, who is based in Val d’Isère, runs several Ladies Specific Ski Courses enjoying the supportive and productive atmosphere created by ladies. Amanda, a qualified PE teacher, teaches every level of skier from beginner to instructor concentrating on each individual’s performance. She has a huge smile and love for skiing that she will share with you. Amanda has a friendly, positive approach to her instructing and with a group size maximum of 6, you are sure to achieve your goals.
Additional English speaking, highly qualified, experienced and friendly female instructors may also be employed to run the course with Amanda.
The programme, developed with the conditions, the weather and the group in mind, will include off-piste skiing while developing your mountain safety and off-piste skiing skills along the way. The skiing will take in the whole of the Espace Killy area, while Amanda will use her local knowledge to find the best off-piste possible. You will develop your off-piste safety skills in sessions designed to increase your understanding and efficiency. You will develop your off-piste skiing in a supportive atmosphere working towards your personalised development plan. Each evening we will meet to review the day, we will also have a video feedback sessions so you can see your development and route planning sessions to plan the next adventure. And we will have fun and giggles along the way!

This includes ski instruction, planning and guiding for 5 days with a small group of women lead by top female ski instructors. As well as off-snow video review, your video to take home with you and safety lectures.

Accommodation, transport, lift pass, equipment hire and Insurance – please make sure you have the correct travel insurance to cover off-piste skiing.
Off-piste safety equipment including transceiver, shovel and probe are required (can be hired in resort for about 100 Euros). We can book this for you so please let us know if you would like to hire a rucksack, probe, shovel and transceiver. There will also be the opportunity to hire an ABS rucksack.
